Wash Sales Engine The Wash Sales Engine is used for real-time and batch processing of wash sale adjustments (including sub-lots and deferrals) for a wide range of financial instruments. By leveraging existing BPC Portfolio Accounting Service methods for maintaining historical portfolio integrity ("as of" any point in time), the Wash Sales Engine supports accurate calculation of wash sale adjustments using either portfolio transactions or open/closed lot data. The Wash Sales Engine is already compliant with the regulatory requirements of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (a.k.a. the Cost Basis Reporting Law). The engine currently supports wash sales adjustments for equities, mutual funds, DRIPs, options and fixed income securities. |
