The Universal Transaction Set is a robust message set designed to facilitate mapping of interfaces for various clearing and custody systems, order management systems, and portfolio management systems. It provides a vital abstraction layer between BPC Components and other investment services processing systems such that BPC Components are easily integrated into existing solutions and can communicate with other systems with a minimum of integration effort.

The Universal Transaction Set is robust, representing every possible event in brokerage, securities, and account processing. In depth securities processing and systems integration knowledge went into the analysis and design of the Universal Transaction Set resulting in more than 60 distinct processing events across the following categories:
