The Server Load Simulator offers a means to accurately and reliably measure the usable capacity of a given
configuration of BPC Components.
The simulator is a multi-threaded standalone Java component that generates any desired transactional load by generically
executing specific test case implementations, where a test case defines a specific sequence of server component operations
and inter-operation wait times. All necessary statistics concerning the exercised transaction types are monitored and recorded to allow quantification of system performance.
Such metrics are used to appropriately scale and tune systems as well as support reliable capacity planning.
The Server Load Simulator is accompanied by a comprehensive document that defines formal procedures for
use in performance testing of the various components of the BPC Suite.
