The Separate Accounts Module supplements the basic features of the Portfolio Accounting Engine and the Order Management System to offer features appropriate for separate account asset management and personal funds programs. Functionality includes:

  • portfolio modeling and rebalancing
  • automated block trade generation and management
  • static account groups and dynamic account selection macros
  • automated execution allocation
  • automated trade consolidation for personal funds applications
The Separate Accounts Module adds support for portfolio modeling, permitting the creation and maintenance of asset based models. The same construct used to implement the portfolio models created by asset managers also supports the baskets of stocks used in personal funds applications. Robust tools support the creation and sharing of models. Changes to models are tracked by an internal version history for auditability. Automated trade generation includes rebalancing to a model, trim or add by value or percent-of-holdings, and manual multiple trades. Individual pre-trade allocations can be blocked together or left as individual orders for communication to downstream order management systems or points of execution. The system supports full per-account policy enforcement and can route block trades for compliance oversight as required.

Groups of accounts over which to generate trades may be managed either through the creation of static groups or dynamic selectors. A robust compound query tool facilitates the assembly of static groups. Queries may be saved as macros for later use to dynamically recreate groups based on the values of account parameters at query execution time.

Upon receipt, block trade executions are automatically allocated back to individual accounts. Partial executions may be allocated per a pre-defined algorithm or saved for later manual allocation. Based on tax-lot information maintained in the Portfolio Accounting Engine, full tax-lot functionality is supported in all block trading functions.

The Separate Accounts Module is currently under development.
